This tastefully renovated former schoolhouse (circa 1760’s) offers high quality self catering accommodation with two bedrooms  and all the modern conveniences needed to enhance your holiday experience. Fully fitted kitchen including dishwasher, washing machine and microwave; smart TV, wifi and a  luxury bathroom. Enjoy a restful sleep in the king sized bed in the master bedroom with high quality linen  or the bespoke adult sized bunkbeds in the second bedroom. Cosy up in front of the wood burning stove on a winter’s night, enjoy a drink in the secluded garden in summer or relax in a Jacuzzi bath after a long day sightseeing.

Loch Leven Heritage trail is a few minutes walk away and whether by bike or on foot, visitors can enjoy a walk round Loch Leven -famous for its wildlife, fishing and bird watching. Drop into the RSPB Vane farm Bird Sanctuary; enjoy a bite to eat in the numerous cafes, restaurants and pubs as you marvel at the scenery or, take a picnic of delicious local produce. The nearby historic market town of Kinross is well worth a visit and boasts numerous good restaurants, shops , supermarkets and two golf courses. Take the chance to take a short boat trip to the island and castle where Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned and made her daring escape in 1568. (Easter –Oct) .

The cottage is fully equipped with everything needed to cook your own meals, but perhaps you may like to try the nearby restaurant and speciality food shop and deli, Loch Levens Larder. Ortake a leisurely stroll to the local historic tavern, The Balgedie Toll, for lunch or a bar meal or nice a nice pint of beer or shot of whisky.

A short walk  will take you to the village of Kinnesswood with a shop, garage, 9 hole golf course and numerous walks and trails. For the more adventurous, a short drive  takes you to Portmoak Gliding School . Explore the East Neuk fishing villages, including St Andrews which is only 40 minutes away by car or perhaps Gleneagles for afternoon tea. Edinburgh, Dunfermline, Perth and  Stirling are all within easy reach .
