We have just spent a wonderful couple of nights at this fabulous cottage (April 2019) and can honestly say that it is the best self-catering accommodation we have ever stayed in. The cottage is absolutely beautiful with the living and dining areas upstairs, to make the best of the amazing views, and the bedrooms and bathroom downstairs. It has been tastefully decorated and furnished throughout and equipped with everything that you could possibly need for your stay and more! We found it to be extremely clean, comfortable and homely and the wonderful owners, who we had the pleasure of meeting on our arrival, have taken great care to ensure that their guests feel very welcome. They provided a lovely welcome pack, gave us advice on where to eat out in the local area and were easily contactable during our stay. The local area is beautiful and peaceful and great for walking and travelling further afield. This is a very special place and we would not hesitate to return or recommend to others! My wife and I have stayed here numerous times. The last being a few weeks ago for our anniversary. It’s a stunning cottage in a stunning location. It has everything you would want including beautiful furnishings, exceptional cleanliness and fabulous hosts in Maggie and Michael. We will keep coming back as long as we can - we love it !!

What a beautiful & relaxing cottage, furnished to a high standard with a very cosy fire. Situated in lovely Kinross countryside, where peace & tranquility are the order of the day. Loch Levens larder just 5 mins walk is a deli, shop & restaurant, which is a must visit. Also lovely walks along Loch Leven and with Perth & St Andrews nearby, an ideal place to spend a holiday. Our hosts Maggie & Michael were very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend anyone to stay. With thanks Kirsteen

I had the pleasure of spending two nights at Ashtrees Cottage, Wester Balgedie in January 16. The cottage is absolutely stunning and is decorated throughout to a very high standard, I thought the heated bathroom floor was a great touch especially in the cold winter mornings.
The cottage has such a homely feel which is perfect for a romantic getaway but equally equipped for families with a modern kitchen and the all important WIFI connection.
Within a short walking distance is the Tollbrae Tavern public house which offers food and friendly atmosphere.
A picturesque Loch Leven is situated within a five minute walk from Ashtrees cottage and the heritage trail has been recently opened so that the full circuit of the Loch can be appreciated with the stunning views of Loch Leven's castle and the wildlife including the varied species of birds.
The cottage itself boasts a generous double bedroom on the ground floor with a smaller adjacent room with bunk beds, both finished to a modern standard.
The wooden spiral staircase with sensor lighting leads to the upper level living area with dining table. The property is immaculately clean and bright.
This is a very quaint cottage which is perfect for a getaway within a beautiful part of Scotland..
